- Use boot disk to boot into DOS environment
- Format the partition plan to install the operating system with built-LHT (all versions) with the / s (eg: format c: / s) (can add the / q to perform quick format (quick format) .
- Place the installation CD (Win2k, XP, 2K3) on the drive and reboot.- The installation process took place to choose the format file system (FAT / NTFS) and you select the last line (... no changes) and then continue installation.- When the installation is successful, then you open Windows Explorer to access the C drive (the drive containing the OS), go to Tools> Folder Options> Select the Views tab> Select Show hidden files and folders> Uncheck Hide check at line protected operating system files> Yes> OK to display the file system is hidden by default.- Delete the file MSDOS.sys, system properties and remove the hidden attribute of the file and io.sys Command.com (can skip this step but choose to overwrite the next step)- Set LHT disk into the drive, then use a program like WinImage or UltraISO to extract the boot of a CD in any folder (eg folder A)- On A folder, delete the two files io.sys, JO.sys then use notepad to open up MSDOS.sys, delete windir = 3 lines, WinBootDir =, HostWinBootDrv = a then save.-Copy all the files in the folder A (memory overwrite if asked) on the C drive, then copy the BootCD folder on the CD-ROM into the drive C.-Right click on My Computer icon> Properties> Advanced tab> Select Settings under Startup and Recovery> Edit> In the last line change "Microsoft Windows" to "Hiren's BootCD v.9.2" (if your version is v. LHT 9.2) and then save again (here you can also specify the time will display 2 options in this is how long the line "timeout =").- Close all windows and reboot, you'll see the magic.
